Hoosier Lottery: 8 big-winning Powerball tickets sold in Indiana over Labor Day weekend

INDIANAPOLIS - A whopping eight big-winning Powerball tickets were sold in Indiana ahead of a pair of Labor Day weekend drawings.




According to Hoosier Lottery, four of the tickets were purchased ahead of Saturday's drawing. The other four tickets were purchased ahead of Monday's drawing.




The earnings Hoosiers claimed from Saturday's winning tickets ranged from $2 million to $50,000. Hoosier Lottery provided the following breakdown on where Saturday's big-winning tickets were purchased:

• $2 million ticket purchased at B.K.D Marathon located at 3208 E. Coliseum Blvd. in Fort Wayne





• $150,000 ticket purchased at Family Express located at 2430 N. Lebanon St. in Lebanon





• $50,000 ticket purchased at Indy Mart located at 3905 E. 10th St. in Indianapolis





• $50,000 ticket purchased at Prospect Retailers Inc. located at 1440 E. Prospect St.

The four big-winning tickets sold ahead of Saturday's drawing earned their purchasers prizes ranging from $150,000 to $50,000. Below is Hoosier Lottery's breakdown of where Monday's big-winning tickets were sold:

• $150,000 ticket purchased at Strack and Van Til located at 1600 Pioneer Trail in Chesterton





• $150,000 ticket purchased at Maysville Marathon located at 9501 Maysville Road in Fort Wayne





• $50,000 ticket purchased at Casey's gas station located at 22405 County Road 6 in Elkhart





• $50,000 ticket purchased at Center Food Mart located at 3448 E. 300 S. in Kokomo.

In total, more than 200,000 winning Powerball tickets were sold in Indiana ahead of Saturday and Monday's drawings. Those tickets netted participating Hoosiers a combined $3.5 million.




The winning Powerball numbers from Saturday's drawing were 3-18-22-27-33 with a Powerball of 17 and Power Play of 3X. Monday's winnings numbers with 8-23-25-40-53 with a Powerball of 5 and a Power Play of 3X.




Officials encourage all of this weekend's Powerball winners to ensure their tickets are in safe places, consider setting up meetings with financial advisors and call Hoosier Lottery customer service at 1-800-955-6886.




Despite the number of big-winning Powerball tickets sold in Indiana ahead of Saturday and Monday's drawings, none of the game's players across the country hit the jackpot. Experts expect the Powerball jackpot to reach $1.3 billion ahead of Wednesday's drawing. Wednesday's jackpot is projected to be the fifth-largest in the history of the Powerball game.
