Hot streak holds, as more storms return later today

Hot streak holds, as more storms return later today

Another steamy start this morning, as temperatures hover in the middle 70s, along with the mugginess of 70° dewpoints, too! A bright, sticky start is expected, as dry weather holds out-the-door, at sunrise.

Like most of the workweek, a quick increase in temperatures will occur by late morning, as clouds begin to puff up vertically. By early afternoon, storms will begin to dot the region, as highs reach the lower 90s, for the seventh day straight. Storms will feed off the hot and humid air, producing heavier downpours, along with lightning and some stronger gusts. It appears that storms will continue, in spots, through the evening hours...not everyone will get wet.

The weekend brings additional storm chances but many dry hours, too. Saturday will be still very warm but more than likely not reach the 90° mark, finally ending a harsh stretch across the state.

Early next week, a more pronounced area of rain and storms is expected on Monday, ushering in drier, less humid air by Tuesday late afternoon...along with a fantastic Wednesday!
