IFD battle vacant funeral home fire on Indy's near east side

INDIANAPOLIS -  The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to a fire at a vacant funeral home Saturday evening.




According to IFD, just before 8:15 p.m. firefighters responded to a report of a fire at a vacant building in the 1600 block of East New York street.




Firefighters said there were no occupants in the building, and no firefighters were injured.




IFD is still working to find the cause of the fire.
