IMPD: 1 dead after shooting on far east side

INDIANAPOLIS - One person is dead after a shooting on the far east side of Indianapolis.

Officials at the IMPD wrote in a press release that the shooting took place on the 100 block of East 42nd Street around 8:41 a.m. on Saturday.

The suspect is in custody.
