INDIANAPOLIS -- Two people were injured after a reported Monday evening shooting on the east side of Indianapolis, according to officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
At around 8:12 p.m. on Monday, officers with IMPD's east district responded to a report of a person shot in the 5400 block of E 16th Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a man who had reportedly been shot.
At the time, the man was reported to be in stable condition, specifically "awake and breathing," according to IMPD.
In an update early Tuesday morning, officials with IMPD stated that a second person who was shot was located after they walked in at an area hospital. Officials stated they believe that they were involved in the east side shooting on Monday evening.
