INDIANAPOLIS -- Police are investigating after two people were shot and critically injured on the near northwest side of Indianapolis Thursday evening.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called around 4:09 p.m. to the 1700 block of N. Warman Avenue in response to reports that shots had been fired in the area. The run was later upgraded to a person shot while officers were en route.
IMPD said the new information redirected officers to the 900 block of W. 10th Street, where they located two victims inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to an area hospital and were last reported to be in "critical" condition, according to IMPD.
