
INDIANAPOLIS - Four people were injured in a shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis Sunday afternoon.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 3900 block of Hornickel Drive - which is located off of 38th Street - around 4:15 p.m. to investigate a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they located a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
Officers confirmed that the victim was awake and breathing when they found them on Hornickel Drive.
As IMPD's investigation on Hornickel Drive was unfolding, three people with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds walked into Community East Hospital. IMPD indicated that two of the victims who walked into the hospital were in stable condition. The other victim who walked into the hospital is currently in critical condition.
Police believe the individuals who showed up at Community East Hospital with gunshot wounds were injured in the shooting that unfolded on Hornickel Drive.
