INDIANAPOLIS - A north side police bust uncovered drugs and firearms.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department announced the arrest of 30-year-old Levell Biles as a result of the narcotics investigation. Biles was arrested Thursday in the 6900 block of Stratton Square by members of the Violent Reduction Team.
Investigators were first tipped off about Biles' alleged criminal activities two days before his arrest. Biles, who isn't permitted to possess a handgun due to having a prior conviction, was spotted with a firearm during police surveillance.
While being tailed, detectives also observed Biles make an alleged narcotics sale.
During Thursday's arrest, officers located six firearms - one of which was reported stolen - in the home Biles was caught in. Investigators also found more than 10 pounds of marijuana, 84.8 grams of pressed methamphetamine pills and 20 grams of powdered cocaine.
Biles faces a slew of preliminary drug and gun charges. Official charges will be decided by the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.
