INDIANAPOLIS - An investigation is underway after the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said they discovered "remains believed to be human" on Indianapolis's east side on Wednesday.
IMPD said they responded to the area of Lexington Avenue and South Irvington Avenue around 10:21 a.m. With the assistance of a cadaver dog, the officers reportedly identified alleged human remains.
The cause and manner of death currently remain unannounced. IMPD said this will be decided by the Marion County Coroner's Office.
