INDIANAPOLIS -- After the Circle City saw three overnight shootings late Monday going into Tuesday, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating an additional shooting on the east side.
At around 2:52 a.m. on Tuesday, officers with IMPD's east district responded to a report of a person battered in the 400 block of N Gladstone Avenue. When officers arrived, they reportedly located a man "with injuries consistent with a person assaulted."
The man was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. IMPD officials said that when the man arrived at the hospital, it was determined that he had "sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound(s)."
Officers investigated three other shootings on Monday evening going into early Tuesday morning. According to previous reports, these incidents included a reported shootout in the 2000 block of Windsong Drive, a shooting at an apartment complex in the 7000 block of Bridgewood Drive and a shooting near a park at 21st and Tibbs.
