IMPD investigating officer-involved shooting on Northwest side




INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Metro Police Department are on scene of an officer-involved shooting.




According to IMPD, around 9 p.m. Wednesday night, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 7700 block of Knue Road. When officers arrived the suspect fled the area in a vehicle.




Just before Midnight an officer located the suspect at the intersection of East 30th street and Ruckle Ave. The officer proceeded to ask for additional officers to assist and shortly after a vehicle pursuit ensured.




The pursuit ended in the 2800 block of Indianapolis Avenue and there is where the officer-involved shooting occurred. The suspect then fled on foot from officers.




IMPD is unaware of any injuries to officers or any other parties.




IMPD ask for people to avoid the area and to stay indoors as officers as officers are still searching for the suspect. If anyone sees anyone hiding or acting suspicious, they are asked to call 911.
