INDIANAPOLIS -- Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a reported homicide on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
According to officials with IMPD, officers responded to the 4500 block of Jamestown Ct. at around 12:50 p.m. on Thursday on a report of a death investigation. IMPD officials later determined the incident as a homicide.
Officials said that they located a person at the scene with injuries consistent with "a gunshot wound(s)." The person was pronounced dead on scene.
Officials with IMPD said that officers detained a person near the scene of the homicide. However, officials said it is "unclear if the person has any involvement in the current investigation."
