IMPD: Man shot, killed on Indy's north side

INDIANAPOLIS - One person is dead after a shooting on the north side of Indianapolis, according to metro police.
IMPD crews were called around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday to the 8000 block of Dowitch Lane for a possible person shot. This is just south of Ascension St. Vincent Hospital near the intersection of W. 79th Street and Township Line Road.
Upon arrival, IMPD Northwest District officers found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
No other information was immediately provided by police. This article will be updated once more details are confirmed. FOX59/CBS4 has a crew on the way to gather more information.
