IMPD: Person found dead on near west side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS - Police found a person dead on the near west side of Indianapolis Monday night.




According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers received a report of a person down in the 500 block of North Alton Avenue - which is located near West Michigan Street and North Tibbs Avenue - around 9:50 p.m.




When policed arrived at the scene, they located a male victim. IMPD indicated that the victim was suffering from "injuries consistent with trauma" and ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
