INDIANAPOLIS -- A person is dead after a shooting on the northwest side of Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded around 4:11 p.m. to the 5200 block of Austral Drive in response to an incomplete 911 call. The run was later upgraded to a person shot.
IMPD said officers arrived on the scene and found a male victim suffering from confirmed gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. As of this article's publication, IMPD has not provided any suspect information.
This follows a violent 24 hours across the Circle City. Earlier on Tuesday, officers were called to N. Concord Street on the near west side to investigate a shooting that left one person dead and another injured. On Monday, two men and a woman were killed in a late-night shooting on Guion Road.
