
INDIANAPOLIS - The first wave of free concerts for this year's Indiana State Fair includes an Indiana legend, an iconic pop-rock band and the inimitable Bill Murray.
The State Fair unveiled five of the acts set to take the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage during this year's event. All shows are free with paid fair admission with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Concerts are scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
Here are the first acts announced for this year's fair:
Three Dog Night, Friday Aug. 1 (opening day): The pop-rock band is marking nearly 50 years on the road. This is the third year in a row the band is attempting to play at the Indiana State Fair-the band had to cancel appearances in 2023 and 2024.
Disney Throwback DJ Night, Saturday, Aug. 2: Fans are sure to enjoy some Disney favorites like "Under the Sea," "Circle of Life," "Let It Go" and selections from Disney Channel alumni like Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato.
Babyface, Wednesday, Aug. 6: Indianapolis native Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds is a 13-time Grammy winner who has produced or written songs for some of the biggest acts in music, including Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Usher, TLC, Outkast and Pink.
Bill Murray and His Blood Brothers, Friday, Aug. 8: Actor and comedian Bill Murray will perform with the Blood Brothers, a musical collaboration featuring artists Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia. They'll blend Murray's unique personality with classic rock.
Melissa Etheridge, Friday, Aug. 15: The Academy Award- and Grammy-winning rocker is known for hits like "I'm the Only One" and "Come to My Window." She's had a one-woman show on Broadway, starred in a docuseries and founded a foundation dedicated to opioid treatment research.
The theme of this year's fair is "Soundtrack of Summer." There are a limited number of reserved viewing area tickets available.
The 2025 Indiana State Fair runs from Aug. 1 through Aug. 17. It's closed on Mondays. You can get general admission tickets here.
