Indiana State Police: Trooper injured in crash involving stolen U-Haul in Clay County
CLAY COUNTY, Ind. - An Indiana state trooper was injured in a crash in Clay County Tuesday night.
An Indiana State Police spokesperson confirmed the crash involved a stolen U-Haul.
The driver of the stolen U-Haul reportedly struck an ISP vehicle while a trooper was standing outside it. When the crash happened, the ISP vehicle lurched forward and struck the trooper.
ISP reported that the driver of the stolen U-Haul struck several vehicles during the incident. After the crash, the person driving the U-Haul was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital.
State police have yet to provide any information about the injured trooper's current medical status.
