Indiana Task Force 1 continuing to assist with flood relief efforts in Texas

KERR COUNTY, Texas - Indiana Task Force One marked its 12th day of deployment in Kerr County, Texas on Sunday.




In a Facebook post, INTF-1 indicated that it is currently assisting with search operations along the Guadalupe River. The task force reported that it has faced muddy, wet and debris-filled terrain during its time in Texas.

"The team reports that members are healthy, remain focused on the mission and are thankful to be lending a hand to the Kerr County community," INTF-1 officials wrote in their Facebook post. "Please keep the team in your thoughts as they go forward."




Search efforts have been underway in Texas for about three weeks now. Portions of the state were impacted by historic flooding earlier this month.




According to The Associated Press, at least 135 people were killed by the flash floods. As of Saturday evening, officials were still searching for three people who went missing during the flooding.
