INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis International Airport has its own WNBA All-Star court.
The airport's court features 19 stars from Indiana's state flag, the colors of the Indiana Fever and logos from each WNBA team. The airport installed it to commemorate WNBA All-Star 2025, celebrated in Indianapolis on July 18 and July 19.
It's a replica of the All-Star court that will grace the floor at Gainbridge Fieldhouse next month.
WNBA champion and Fever legend Tamika Catchings helped unveil the court at the airport's Civic Plaza.
"Fans will step off the plane and onto the court, ready to experience basketball in Indiana -- where no one celebrates the game like Hoosiers," Catchings said in a news release. "As they say, in 49 other states it's just basketball, but THIS is Indiana!"
Miles Printing printed and installed the court. The applique took 92 hours of labor; the court will remain at the airport through July 21.
"We've transformed the Indy airport into the gateway to basketball legacy," said IAA Executive Director Mario Rodriguez. "From the Civic Plaza court to the community events, surrounded by WNBA All-Star graphics throughout the terminal, we're creating moments that remind travelers they've landed in the home of the Indiana Fever."
Indianapolis International Airport will host a series of events commemorating WNBA All-Star 2025, including a social media contest, a Zumba workout session and much more.
