INDOT: Madison County fatal crash causes temporary road closure

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. -- A portion of State Road 9 in Madison County was closed Wednesday afternoon due to a reported fatal crash.




According to officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation, all lanes were temporarily closed on State Road 9 between Hartman Road and County Road 350 North.

INDOT said this was because of a crash "with one confirmed fatality." INDOT confirmed around 4:10 p.m. that all lanes had reopened. FOX59/CBS4 is working to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
