INDOT: Reported tanker explosion causes road closure in Tippecanoe County

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. -- A portion of U.S. 52 eastbound is closed in Tippecanoe County after a reported tanker explosion.




According to officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation, the explosion reportedly occurred at a fuel company in Tippecanoe County Wednesday afternoon. This caused U.S. 52 eastbound at 450 South to be closed.




The length of the closure is unknown, INDOT officials said.
