INDOT: Semi fire causes closure of I-69 in Grant County


INDIANAPOLIS -- A portion of I-69 in Grant County is closed due to a reported semi-truck on fire.




According to officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation, I-69 northbound and southbound at the 263-mile marker is closed in Grant County.








In a post from the Peru post of the Indiana State Police, officials said troopers are investigating the crash and no injuries are reported.




The closure is occurring just south of the intersection of I-69 and State Road 18 and east of Marion.




INDOT officials said that the duration of the closure is unknown.




In an update from INDOT, officials said southbound traffic is diverting at State Road 18. Officials said that the northbound left lane on I-69 remains closed.




"Expect delays and use alternate routes," officials with the Indiana State Police said in a post on social media.
