Juvenile injured in shooting on Far East side




INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Metro Police Department is investigating after a juvenile was injured in a shooting late Thursday night.




According to IMPD, around 10:15 p.m. officers received a report of a possible person shot in the 10800 block of Penwell Way.




When officers arrived they located a juvenile male with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in stable condition.




Details are limited at this time, but police believe that the shooting was a targeted attack that occurred inside a vehicle.




Police did not provide details on a suspect, and officers believe that there is no threat to the community.
