INDIANAPOLIS - An early morning shooting sent a juvenile to the hospital.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched around 3:15 a.m. Monday to an apartment in the 3100 block of Brouse Avenue. That's near 30th Street and Keystone on the near northwest side.
Upon arrival, officers found a juvenile male suffering from gunshot wounds inside an abandoned apartment.
The juvenile told police he was standing in front of the apartment when someone dressed in all black walked up and shot him "for no reason."
IMPD didn't disclose the extent of his injuries. He was taken to an area hospital.
A witness reported hearing a gunshot but didn't see anything, police said. The individual didn't provide a formal statement.
Police characterized the shooting as a targeted attack, although they didn't know what led up to it.
