INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever improved to 13-12 after defeating the Chicago Sky, 93-78, at the United Center in Chicago on Sunday afternoon.
Kelsey Mitchell exploded for 35 points, hitting seven of ten 3-point attempts. Mitchell came up just two 3-pointers shy of the single-game franchise record she tied in 2019.
Aliyah Boston and rookie Aari McDonald also added double-digit scoring totals, with Boston having a double-double, dropping 14 points and 11 rebounds. McDonald scored 10 points.
Rookie Chloe Bibby made her Fever debut, scoring eight points.
Caitlin Clark stayed on the bench as she is still dealing with a groin injury. She's missed 12 games this season with injuries.
The Fever broke the game open in the first quarter with a 26-13 lead; the Sky were unable to make a comeback despite Rachel Banham's 26 points and Kamila Cardoso dropping a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Kia Nurse also added 14 points for the Sky.
The Fever return home to Gainbridge Fieldhouse to take on the 15-9 Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
