On Sunday, one of the infant's relatives found the child with severe head trauma and transported them to an area hospital. KPD said the baby was then transported to an Indianapolis hospital for further treatment. An investigation by the Howard County Division of Child Services and KPD then led officers to uncover further information.

This resulted in Harvey's arrest taking place on Thursday, after police issued a warrant out of a Howard County court.
