
KOKOMO, Ind. - A Kokomo man was arrested after an attempted murder on Saturday.
According to the Howard County Sheriff's Office, on Saturday, around 5:13 a.m., officers responded to the 600 South block of County Road 750 West on reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, police found a victim suffering from a large laceration wound to the abdomen. They were transported to a local hospital before being air-lifted to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition.
Detectives were called to investigate the scene on Sunday at approximately 12:11 p.m. A search warrant was executed in the 300 block of Branded Boulevard.
With the help of the Howard County Sheriff's SWAT team, police took a suspect, 54-year-old James Hampton of Kokomo, into custody at 12:27 p.m.
