
LADOGA, Ind. -- A Ladoga man was arrested after a reported stabbing led to a SWAT standoff at a home on Monday evening.
According to a news release from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, 48-year-old Dale Sizemore has been preliminarily charged with:
- Attempted murder
- Aggravated battery while armed with a deadly weapon
- Domestic battery
Emergency personnel were dispatched around 7:12 p.m. Monday to a home on North Bruce Street in Ladoga regarding a stabbing. When deputies arrived, they reportedly found a 46-year-old woman, identified as a Ladoga resident, who had been stabbed multiple times.
The woman was transported to an Indianapolis hospital and is reportedly in stable condition, according to the release.
A witness told law enforcement that the suspect, later identified as Sizemore, reportedly stabbed himself and was inside the home. The Montgomery County Multi-Jurisdictional SWAT team was called after numerous attempts were made to get Sizemore to exit the home.
The release said that Sizemore was eventually located inside the home with reported stab wounds and cuts. Sizemore was transported to an Indianapolis area hospital.
After he was released, Sizemore was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. The release said that Sizemore is also being held on a parole warrant by the Indiana Department of Correction.
The investigation is ongoing by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
