LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Lafayette Police Department is searching for a missing 11-year-old girl.
According to a press release, Melonie Melvia Perkins was last seen in the 1400 block of North 15th Street in Lafayette around 6:55 p.m. Sunday. LPD indicated that Perkins was spotted running eastbound on Morton Street from 15th Street shortly before she disappeared.
Per LPD, Perkins was wearing a dark gray Purdue Boilermakers shirt, red pants and black and white shoes at the time of her disappearance.
Police are encouraging those with information on Perkins' whereabouts to call 911.
