Large search on east side after burglars crash vehicle into business

INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Metropolitan police responded Wednesday morning to a business burglary on the east side.




According to IMPD, the thieves crashed a vehicle into a building located at 21^st Street and Emerson Avenue to gain access to it. Police were dispatched around 5:45 a.m.




The thieves were gone by the time officers arrived. However, there was a large police presence in the area as IMPD searched for the burglars. Drone and K9 units were assisting.
