Man arrested in Boone County following fugitive investigation

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. - A man was arrested in Boone County on Thursday after a fugitive investigation by the Boone County Sheriff's Office Criminal Intelligence Unit (CIU).




According to the Boone County Sheriff's Office, 22-year-old Torrance Edwards of Kirklin was wanted on warrants for violating probation and community corrections.

These warrants initially stem from two convictions: a Level 2 Felony of Dealing in a Controlled Substance and a Level 6 Felony of Strangulation.




Edwards surrendered to CIU and local authorities in Elkhart around 4 p.m. He has been transported and booked into the Ern K. Justice Center.
