INDIANAPOLIS - A man was critically hurt after being hit by a car on the west side Tuesday night.
According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened around 8:10 p.m. Tuesday at West 16th Street and North Goodlet Avenue.
Officers arrived to find man lying in the road with injuries consistent with trauma. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Investigators said a car hit him.
The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police don't believe impairment played a role in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
