INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that critically injured a man early Friday morning.
According to IMPD, at 2:16 a.m. officers responded to the 3100 block of Brookside Parkway North Drive for a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult male with a gunshot wound in the backyard of a residence. The man was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
Police say an involved person stayed on scene, and told detectives some type of altercation is what led to the shooting. The involved person was then taken to the hospital after telling officers they had pain in their neck.
Detectives are canvassing the area for possible witnesses and doorbell footage that will help with the investigation.
