Man injured in assault near IU Indianapolis Campus

INDIANAPOLIS - Police at IU Indianapolis is investigating after a man was assaulted late Monday night.




At 11:15 p.m., IUPD along with the Indianapolis Metro Police Department reported to lot 401 at 14th Street and Indiana Ave on a report of an aggravated assault.




IUPD say that an adult male sustained non-life threatening injuries. Officers on scene say they believe the male was shot with a BB gun or something similar.




IUPD believes that it is an isolated incident, and believes there is no threat to the campus or community.
