Man injured in shooting on Indy's northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured a man early Tuesday morning.

According to IMPD, at 2:11 a.m. officers received a report from a woman stating two males were trying to kick in her door.

When officers arrived they located shots were fired inside the apartment by the two males, and a third male that was inside with the woman was struck by gunfire.

The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

Police say officers responded to the same apartment on August the 22nd, which leads detectives to believe that this was a targeted attack.

Detectives are talking to witnesses and checking doorbell footage for a description on the suspects.

Anyone with information or doorbell footage is asked to call IMPD at (317) 327-3475 or contact Crime Stoppers (317) 262-TIPS (8477).
