
INDIANAPOLIS - A person was shot at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis Sunday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 7000 block of Eagle Creek Parkway around 9:06 p.m. to investigate a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they located an adult male victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
IMPD confirmed that the man was transported from the scene to St. Vincent Hospital in stable condition after the shooting.
Detectives spoke to several witnesses during their investigation of the shooting. After speaking with the witnesses, officers concluded that the shooting stemmed from a dispute pertaining to a gun.
The dispute happened during a party at Eagle Creek Park. Police estimated that there were approximately 200 people at the party before shots rang out.
