Markleville man found guilty of child molesting

MARKLEVILLE, Ind. - A man has been found guilty on four counts of child molesting, according to the Madison County Prosecutor's Office.




Per the MCPO, Kenneth Myers, 50, was found guilty of the crimes after a four-day court trial at a Madison County Circuit Court. All four of hischarges are Level 4 felonies.

According to court documents originally filed May 17, 2022, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office attended a forensic interview of two juvenile females on April 8, 2022 - one being seven years old and the other being 11.




One of the girls told police that Myers had touched her inappropriately on multiple occasions. This juvenile confided in the second victim, who reported that Myers had also molested her.




Per the documents, the MCSO then interviewed Myers. He was read his Miranda rights, and in a recorded statement, denied the allegations of child molestation.




Myers's sentencing date is June 11 at 8:30 a.m., the MCPO wrote. He could face anywhere from eight to 48 years behind bars.
