Morgan County Sheriff's Office investigating fatal crash

MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. - The Morgan County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on State Road 67 Saturday night.




The Indiana Department of Transportation sent a media notification about the crash just before 10:30 p.m. INDOT reported that the crash happened at the intersection of State Road 67 and Bradford Woods Road. In its notification, the department of transportation also confirmed that the Morgan County Sheriff's Office is the agency investigating the crash.




Per INDOT, the northbound lanes of State Road 67 were closed between Sycamore Lane and Milhon Road while officials cleaned up and investigated the crash.




The department of transportation also confirmed that a medical helicopter was called to the scene. INDOT did not specify exactly how many people were killed or injured in the crash.




Officials did not provide an estimate on when the roadway will reopen. As of 10:50 p.m., the northbound lanes of State Road 67 were closed between Sycamore Lane and Milhon Road.
