Multiple people detained after police chase on Interstate 65 in Bartholomew County

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. - Multiple people were detained after a police chase on Interstate 65 in Bartholomew County Sunday evening.




Indiana State Police reported that the pursuit began on I-65 northbound at mile marker 56. Troopers indicated that the chase ended near mile marker 68 on I-65 northbound.

According to a notification from the Indiana Department of Transportation, all lanes of I-65 northbound were closed at mile marker 68 sometime before 5:20 p.m. INDOT indicated that the roadway reopened around 5:49 p.m.




As of this article's publication, it is unclear exactly why the chase started. Police have also yet to specify how the chase ended.
