Officers were approached at 5 p.m. on Thursday at City Hall by a woman who said that she was confined and battered by several individuals.

According to court documents, the victim said that she ran away from the 1500 block of E Cromer St. When she arrived at the City Hall officers noticed that she had blood by her mouth, two knots on her forehead, a red nose, and bruising on her tailbone. Authorities transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment, witness statements, and proper paperwork.

At the hospital, the victim told police that she was accused by Lance and 44-year-old Moulding of stealing $240. She claimed that as a result, she was held against her will on Cromer St. and beat several times throughout the day. She reported that the Lance also had a knife held to her in a room where she was not allowed to leave.

The victim said that Sult never hit her, but was at the home at the time of the attack and did not allow her to leave. Sult said that he did not know why she was being beat and was scared to ask because of Lance.

Lance claimed that he was never home, never saw the girl, and did not know anything. Moulding changed her story at least four separate times during the interview with police.

This is an active investigation. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
