Pacers: Point guard Tyrese Haliburton to miss remainder of Game 7 with injury
OKLAHOMA CITY - Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton exited Game 7 of the NBA Finals with an apparent leg injury on Sunday.
Haliburton was seen walking off the floor with assistance from the Pacers' staff after suffering the injury during the first quarter. In a post on X, the Pacers confirmed that Haliburton will not return to the game with a leg injury.
During ABC's broadcast of the game, sideline reporter Lisa Salters indicated that Haliburton suffered an Achilles injury. Salters said she obtained the information from Haliburton's father, John Haliburton.
Haliburton had scored nine points in seven minutes of action before he left the game. Backup point guard T.J. McConnell was subbed into the game in place of Haliburton.
Haliburton suffered a calf injury during Game 5 of the NBA Finals. His status was in doubt ahead of Game 6 of the series, but he was able to play through the injury at that time.
As of this article's publication, no additional information on Haliburton's injury had been made available.
