Pacers win on road again to take a 2-0 lead over Knicks

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Pacers continued their road dominance in the playoffs, beating the Knicks 114-109 at Madison Square Garden on Friday in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals to take a 2-0 series lead.

Indiana has won six of their seven road games this postseason. Their only loss was to Milwaukee in the first round.

Pascal Siakam had a game-high 39 points, while Myles Turner had 16 points and Tyrese Haliburton had 14 points and 11 assists. Jalen Brunson led New York with 36 points.

The game was tight throughout. The Pacers jumped out to an early 10-point lead in the first on an Andrew Nembhard three-pointer, but the Knicks answered right back, taking the lead before the quarter ended on a Mitchell Robinson tip.

New York took their biggest lead of the game in the second as Karl-Anthony Towns' floater put the Knicks up 40-33. Indiana would re-gain the advantage on an Obi Toppin dunk, but New York ked 52-49 at halftime.

The third was back-and-fourth with Brunson scoring with two seconds left to tie the game at 81 heading in the final quarter.

Trailing by one in the fourth, the Pacers went on a 8-0 run behind a banked in jumper by Turner and three-pointers by Ben Sheppard and Siakam.

Nursing a four-point lead, Haliburton hit a clutch three-pointer to extend the lead. Siakam scored to put Indiana up 10 with under three minutes to play.

The series now shifts to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the next two matchups. Game 3 is set for Sunday night at 8 p.m.
