INDIANAPOLIS - In the final minute of qualifying at Barber on Saturday, Alex Palou narrowly came away with pole position to start the Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix.
Sunday's race was much less contested.
Palou came away with his third win of 2025 on Sunday afternoon. He led by more than 16 seconds when the checkered flag flew.
"I was a bit lonely there, but I loved it. It was an amazing day," Palou said. "The car was amazing, super fast. I had a ton of fun."
Christian Lundgaard and Scott McLaughlin joined Palou on the podium in second and third place, respectively. Rinus Veekay and Will Power rounded out the top five.
"When the guy [Palou] is on top of his game, you just can do the best you can, in that regard," McLaughlin said. "I feel like week in and week out, we can challenge him. But if he keeps executing like this, all we can do is execute, as well."
The entire 90-lap race went without a single yellow flag. The last time three straight IndyCar races stayed under green for their entirety was in 1986.
Palou's lead in the championship standings continues to grow with the win. Kyle Kirkwood, who was second in points at the start of Sunday's race, finished in 11th.
The NTT IndyCar series has a busy month ahead, starting with the Sonsio Grand Prix on the IMS Road Course on May 10th. You can watch every IndyCar race on FOX59.
