Person critically injured in shooting on northwest side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS - A person is in critical condition after a shooting on the northwest side of Indy.




Sunday, at approximately 1:01 a.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police responded to a person shot call. Soon after, IMPD arrived at the 2900 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street, where they located a victim.




The individual was found with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound, to which officers called for emergency medical services to assist. The victim was then transported to an area hospital.




The victim was in critical condition at the time of this reporting.
