ASSIGNMENT announce new album With The End Comes Silence and release first single "Fallen"

German progressive power metal force ASSIGNMENT proudly announce the release of their upcoming studio album With The End Comes Silence, due out on February 6th, 2026, available as Digipak CD and limited double vinyl LP via Massacre Records.
To mark the beginning of this new chapter, the band unleashes the album's opening track and first single "Fallen", accompanied by a lyric video video.
"In our view the song had all credentials for being the opener of the album, as it perfectly sets the pace and the general of what follows. The song handles one of our main concerns, one we regularly like to make clear. Something is wrong in the world today," states guitar player Goran Pani .
Powerful, dynamic, and thematically urgent the track opens the album and embodies its themes: societal decay, disillusionment, and the awareness that the world has shifted into darker territory. Musically, it combines expressive vocals, atmospheric arrangements, and emotional impact, making it the ideal introduction to the album's narrative arc.
With The End Comes Silence showcases ASSIGNMENT's refined songwriting approach, focusing on tighter structures and elevated production quality, while maintaining the diverse influences that have shaped their sound over the years - from power and thrash to progressive metal and hard rock.
The album features standout guest contributions, including: Thomas Vikstr m (backing vocals), Marco Ahrens (lead guitars on "Fallen", "Beyond Recognition", "Angel Of Berlin", and "With The End Comes Silence") and DGM's mastermind Simone Mularoni (lead guitar on "The Curtains Fall").
Produced by the band, the record was mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio, raising the sonic bar and delivering the sound ASSIGNMENT envisioned.
