Skies are mostly clear and temperatures seasonal to start your Tuesday morning! Expect a great sunrise with light winds and comfortable readings out-the-door. Be sure to grab those sunglasses, no umbrella needed!
This afternoon will bring plenty of sunshine, light southeast winds, and dry conditions statewide. We will see a steady climb in temperatures, back into the middle 80s by 5:00pm. My pick of the week for downtown Indianapolis and really statewide. Although, keep in mind, a heat advisory will take effect at 2pm for our far western counties, where dew points will be climbing more aggressively, making for a hotter feel into the evening.
The hot dome returns tomorrow (Wednesday) with hazy sun, hotter conditions and a surge in dew points...marking a much hotter feel! No rain chances tomorrow, just intense heat for the afternoon hours.
More heat building on Thursday, along with higher dew points, as the feels-like temperatures will likely push between 100°-105°! Dangerous heat will take its toll, so be sure limit outdoor work and hydrate heavily.
Storm chances return slowly on Thursday evening but get bumped up in coverage on Friday and into the weekend, which will in turn, temper the heat but not the humidity!
