Police: Man hit with car, 1 arrested for attempted murder

INDIANAPOLIS - An Indianapolis man was arrested for his alleged involvement in an aggravated assault that left a man in critical condition.




Isaac Vance, 37, was charged with the following:

• Attempted Murder, a Level 1 Felony





• Aggravated Battery, a Level 3 Felony





• Two counts of Battery, a Class B Misdemeanor

On June 15 officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Arlington Avenue on a report of person struck by a vehicle.




Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from injuries consistent with being struck by a car. The victim was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.




Through a preliminary investigation, Vance was identified as a suspect. Detectives then requested, and were granted, a warrant for the suspects arrest. On July 9 authorities apprehended Vance.
