
MUNCIE, Ind. - A Muncie man was charged after he allegedly attacked and threatened hospital staff.
Corey Adams, 47, was charged with the following:
- Battery on Health Care Official, a Level 6 Felony
- Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A Misdemeanor
- Disorderly Conduct, a Class B Misdemeanor
Officers with the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital were dispatched on Saturday at approximately 1:41 p.m. to the 2400 block of W University Avenue on a report of a man who was allegedly threatening staff.
Adams was immediately placed on an Emergency Detention by the Muncie Police Department.
According to court documents, Adams stood up in a 'threatening' manner with his hands on a table, he then picked up the table and attempted to strike an officer.
Adams was taken to a bed and restrained. While in the bed, he attacked a nurse who was checking his vitals.
