Police say homicide suspect may be in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Fort Wayne Police Department is asking Indianapolis residents for information on the whereabouts of a homicide suspect linked to a shooting earlier this month in downtown Fort Wayne.

Isaiah Wilson

The department said that 26-year-old Isaiah Wilson "may be in the Indianapolis area." Wilson is described as being around 6'3'', weighing around 160 bounds and has multiple tattoos.

Wilson has an active murder warrant in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on April 13 near the intersection of Monroe and Wayne streets in Fort Wayne. The department said that Wilson "should be considered armed and dangerous."

"Please do not approach him," the department said in a wanted bulletin provided to FOX59/CBS4.

According to reports from WANE, Wilson reportedly showed "erratic behavior" before the shooting, stating that demons were out to get him. The shooting caused the death of 23-year-old Kamari Daquan Taylor, a Fort Wayne resident.

If individuals have any information regarding Wilson's whereabouts, they are asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department by calling (260) 427-1222. Individuals can also contact Crimestoppers at (260) 436-STOP.
