This morning will start out nice and quiet, with clear skies and comfortable temperatures out-the-door. Expect a great sunrise with temperatures in the upper 60s for most, as dry weather holds statewide.
This afternoon will bring a jump in the heat, as 90s return to the state after nearly two weeks! Along with the heat, poor air quality is expected, marking a Knozone Action Day, so pretty much a one-two punch! Dry weather holds, as winds remain light from the south, southeast at 5-10 mph.
Hotter and more tropical weather arrives on Thursday, as dew points reach the middle 70s. This type of air is unrelenting and can cause you to overheat quickly if not hydrated or working too hard outdoors...keep this in mind. A Heat Advisory from 11 a.m. through 8 p.m. will go into effect with the feels-like between 100°-105°.
Storm chances are low for late Thursday afternoon but greater chances rise on Friday and through the weekend. Although still quite muggy or tropical, the added clouds will temper the heat both Saturday and Sunday.
